Private Appointments

Private patients are seen at Clementine Churchill Hospital, Wellington Hospital and The Syon Clinic. Ideally, you should bring a referral from a GP or another doctor, but self-referrals are accepted as well.

Referrals are also accepted from overseas, particularly if you have been sent by the Health Office of your Embassy, in this case a Letter of Guarantee is required.

I am approved by all the major private health insurers and recommend that you contact them in advance of your appointment to arrange pre-authorisation.

Charges have been approved by insurers and my office is registered as a Super User with the insurance companies, which allows rapid online billing and tracking of invoices.

Who needs a GP referral?

All insured patients need to be referred by their GP in order to obtain authorisation for their treatment from their medical insurance company. We advise patients to seek pre-authorisation for any consultation or procedure to avoid misunderstandings.

Some patients will have a private GP but others should see their NHS GP to obtain a letter of referral.

Self-paying patients do not need a GP referral, but is advisable; please contact us to check individual requirements.
